Fifteen tips for a first Sker Ritual match
Last verified: 2026-10-24
For a first match, use the objective prompts alongside this checklist. These fifteen notes are the overlap between TheGamer’s Lavernock walkthrough, the long Steam guide, and the community weapon pages. They are labeled as that, not as loading-screen tips from Wales Interactive.
The fifteen
Do them in roughly this order. The map page has the cylinder steps once the tips stop being enough.
- Start with Cursed Lands of Lavernock on Normal, or choose Beginner/Easy if still learning movement. This is an editorial starting point, not a required unlock order.
- Melee generators and rat orbs. Guns are for enemies.
- Follow the floor cables and the objective marker. Do not explore blind.
- Spend early points on doors and a wall gun. Balance early purchases with the next objective rather than following a fixed round schedule.
- Do not fully upgrade the MX1910. Ammo is expensive and the ceiling is low.
- Aim for the head. The community table lists a 3.8125× headshot and a 2× critical.
- Buy an affordable rifle or SMG when the starting pistol no longer clears enemies comfortably; the Sie Rigotti, Pavlov and MP18A are options, not required round-4 purchases.
- On Lavernock, do Medusa early and buy Thunderbolt for 2000.
- Take a Miracle every even round. Bank the point if the three options are bad. Do not pay 2000 to reroll yet.
- If you want a tier III or IV, stay on one pair of figures. The caps punish tourism.
- Buy Elixir of Life and Fast Hands before speed perks.
- Upgrade the weapon you intend to keep when you can afford the next tier plus quest costs and ammunition. There is no verified tier-3-by-round-10 requirement.
- On difficulties that sell Life Tokens, keep a recovery option. Clear immediate threats before approaching a downed teammate; Nightmare does not sell the token.
- Completing the map’s doll set grants an extra Miracle point in the community reference; one isolated doll is not promised to grant a point.
- A slow queue wants a party code or a wider map search, not a reinstall.
Questions people ask
What difficulty should a new player pick?
Lavernock on Normal is a reasonable start; Beginner or Easy is available if needed. Nightmare removes Life Token purchases and raises costs.
How do you revive a teammate?
Clear the enemies on top of them first, then revive. A Life Token is the safety net on difficulties that still sell one.
Can you play the first match alone?
Yes. Solo is a supported player count.
