How masks and character options unlock — Sker Ritual

A mask does not change your health or your gun. Sources the store and the community progression pages agree on: the free Sker Pass, Dread account levels, achievements, Easter-egg rewards, events, and paid cosmetic DLC. The Early Access roadmap described a free track of 50 items at launch and 25 more with each episode, covering masks, voice lines, player icons, menu backgrounds, menu music, and weapon charms. It also said there was no paid pass.
Choose a verifiable unlock route
For free progression rewards, select an available Sker Pass track and earn its displayed progress; the community reference lists separate Lavernock, Ashes, Sewers, Fortress and House tracks with saved progress. Dread account levels are a separate source of cosmetics.
For a named achievement or hidden-objective reward, read that reward’s requirement instead of assuming every boss drops a mask. THE EGG is the official anniversary cross-map Nightmare reward; Pirate Crown is the official Tides main-quest plus music plus hidden-objective reward on Nightmare.
For paid cosmetics, check the exact store pack contents before purchasing. For seasonal or anniversary items, check the current event window; the historical two-week Abraham offer is not a permanent availability guarantee. Equip the unlocked cosmetic in the relevant customization slot.
Examples, not a catalogue
Representative unlocks the wiki and the anniversary post actually name:
- Completion crowns: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Ultimate, plus Hidden and Legendary crowns.
- Collectible masks: Unmasked Abraham, Frozen Undead Isaac, Balor the Undying.
- Event: The Stranger’s Skull. A two-week Abraham mask was tied to the 2025 anniversary.
- THE EGG, from the Nightmare hidden objectives added 24 April 2025.
- Paid packs such as The Quiet Ones or Stranger Danger are shop cosmetics. They are listed on the DLC page.
Questions people ask
Is there a paid battle pass?
The Early Access roadmap said the Sker Pass items were free and that there was no paid pass.
Do masks change gameplay?
No. They are cosmetic, along with icons, voice lines, and charms.
How do I customize my character?
Equip unlocked masks and the other cosmetic slots. New ones come from passes, levels, achievements, eggs, events, or bought packs.
