Nobody at Wales Interactive has published a weapon ranking. This list is an editor’s reading of the July 2026 community stat table plus how the guns are actually obtained. TheGamer’s “best weapons” article is dated 30 April 2024, before House of the Damned, Tides of Terror, Maelstrom, and the Plague damage buff. Use it as history, not as the 2026 order.

Editorial bands

S-band prioritizes the ultimate and quest utility; A-band is a set of practical ordinary-weapon recommendations; B-band covers early options. These are editorial acquisition and utility bands, not measured round-20 performance guarantees. God Killer is S only after four seals; before that it is not in the match.

Solo versus four players

For solo first clears, prioritize the required quest weapon and survivability over an unmeasured damage ranking. In a full squad the Plague’s 360×5 and Maelstrom’s 70-round belt share add-clear while someone else does the escort. Corpse Grinder is mandatory on the House well step even if you prefer a rifle. Do not sell the quest gun to fit a favorite SMG.
